Austrian moulding parts supplier Meusburger Group has acquired German software company Segoni GmbH, in a bid to strengthen its digitalisation capabilities.
With the acquisition, Wolfurt, Austria-headquartered Meusburger, which manufacturers standard components for hot runner and control systems, expects to offer digital solutions to optimise processes for its customers.
Based in Berlin, Segoni is specialised in ERP/PPS (enterprise resource planning and production planning and control system) solutions for medium-sized companies in Germany/Austria/Switzerland.
The company offers systems for efficient corporate management and its customers include manufacturing companies with individual production structures, from the areas of mould, die, and jigs and fixtures construction

Post-acquisition, Segoni will continue as an independent enterprise, with Meusburger planning “long-term investments” in the further development of the software.
Meusburger has described the move as an indication that it is “engaging strongly with the topic of digitalisation.”
“Thanks to the takeover of Segoni, customers of the Meusburger Group will in future also have extensive support through the digitisation process in the areas of ERP and PPS,” said Meusburger in a 5 July press release.
